The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the seller pays this site a commission. You pay exactly the same price — the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.
That is the only way this site makes money. There are no sponsored articles, no paid placements, and nobody pays to be recommended here.

Landing in Japan participates in affiliate programs run by travel and connectivity companies serving visitors to Japan. Where a specific program applies to an article, it is named in that article.

What the commission does not change
Recommendations are based on what actually works for someone arriving in Japan, not on which company pays the most. In practice that means:
- If the cheapest option pays nothing, the cheapest option still gets recommended.
- If the right answer is “don’t buy this,’’ that is what the article says.
- Where an option has a real drawback, the drawback is stated, commission or not.
- Prices and details are checked at the time of writing, and articles carry the date they were last checked.
Any article containing affiliate links carries a visible notice near those links, not only this page.
Independence
This site is an independent personal project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any airline, railway, airport, telecom operator, booking platform, tourism body, or any employer of the author.
Accuracy
Fares, opening hours, and product terms in Japan change often. Everything here is checked when written and re-checked periodically, but you should confirm anything time-sensitive or expensive with the operator before you rely on it.
